Hello everybody, welcome to I am David. Let me start by saying welcome and then I am going to to tell you about myself.
This website/blog or whatever you want to call is all about me and what I do in life. In it’s simplest form it is a CV. In its most complicated form it is a journal or a diary of my life. Of all my trials and tribulations. It is me in all my most complicated moments.
Before we move onto what I want to use this blog for let me give you a little bit of background on me.
Short Bio about David
Birth to Teens
Born 3rd of October 1986 in Dublin, Ireland, I have two awesome parents, Paul and Maria, I have one sister, Natasha, and one brother, Ian (I am the eldest). We are a small family but we are happy and I had an awesome childhood. I spent most of my time playing football and playing video games. My dad was a Chef and still is, which meant when I was growing up all I wanted to be was a Chef when I was older. When I was twelve I started working with my dad, I used to peel extremely large bags of potatoes. It was great. I had money for myself.
Then when I turned 14 my ad actually brought me into the kitchens. I would spend my summers and weekends washing dishes. Most kids these days want to get straight into the action but starting at the bottom gives you an amazing appreciation for everything in life and for all people. While I was washing dishes, I was able to keep an eye on what was going on in the kitchen. So very soon I started plating up desserts, then I started doing prep, and finally I was allowed to actually cook something for customers. I was 16 and I new what I was doing and where I was going in life. It was awesome.
Started working for real
I went to college to learn business so I could open my own restaurant one day. I dropped out as I got an opportunity to become a trainee restaurant manager. In the end I left the restaurant business. I then went into the fruit and veg industry. Here I managed and ran a local shop which I loved doing. To this day that is my most memorable working experience. I left this after four years to open my first shop. A fruit and veg shop, this did not work out for me. I wasn’t ready but luckily I was able to fall back on my previous restaurant work. So I went back into the kitchen.
Without out thought I then decided to move to the UK. Here I went to work in Manchester working in a call centre until that closed down. I am know currently working for Dixons Carphone, I am a Personal Development Trainer (which I love doing) and I am trying to build my personal brand and create a source of online revenue so I can spend more time with my family.
Why am I doing this?
You may be wondering why I have started this blog. Plain and simply I want to share my journeys. My journeys will come in many different forms, they will be fitness related, they will be personal and business related and they will be about all of the things that I love about life.
The reason for doing this is to help other people hopefully achieve great things. To help others build a better life for themselves by learning from my successes and mistakes. And I want to document everything I do.
I want to be able to give people the opportunity to do something great in thee life.
